Explanada Beach Deluxe Flat

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The central spot made it easy to reach restaurants, bars, the beach and promenade. The castle and central market are walkable, and the airport shuttle drops you just minutes away. It's not a five-star hotel, but for a short break in this lovely town, it earned five stars from me.

The pillows were very flat, so I had to ask for another set. The room was clean, the staff were nice, and the location is right in the center on Explanada, very close to the beach. Traffic right outside the window did make it loud.

Breakfast was basic but fine, and we enjoyed our stay enough that we'd come back. The location is brilliant, and the staff were lovely and helpful throughout. We asked for extra pillows and they arrived straight away. A mirror in the room would have been useful.

The staff were very friendly and the place was spotlessly clean, and reviews I'd read plus a local's opinion suggested it was a good hotel. Still, after what happened to me, I can't recommend it. I found a cockroach in my second-floor room and accepted the alternative room they offered. Then I woke to another one in the first-floor room. That second room was noisy for much of the night, with bins being emptied, a road sweeper going back and forth, and the street being jet-washed.
