Self-check-in was easy and well explained, and at first the apartment seemed spacious and well located, like the perfect spot. The sewer smell in the building entrance was there from the start, but then the problems inside became obvious: marks on the walls, hair on the bathroom floor, dust on the TV stand, dental floss in the sofa crease, hairs in the bed, strange food residue in the kettle, mold traces in the washing machine, and a used sponge. At night, street noise came through so clearly I thought I’d left a window open, but there’s no soundproofing at all. It felt like sleeping in a tent. For comfort and cleanliness, it was basically like camping at a festival.

The first-floor apartment I stayed in was awful, even though the apartments themselves look very nice. Our large group of friends used three units: mine had a filthy floor, dusty glasses, ants and cockroaches, and a sofa bed coming apart with bits of filling falling out. It was extremely uncomfortable. A friend’s sofa bed in another unit was wrecked too, and another apartment had loose wires from unfinished electrical work. I can’t recommend the place based on this stay. With proper cleaning and better upkeep, though, these could be fantastic apartments.

The apartment wasn't especially clean. The manager said the gray floor only looked dirty, but it was dirty. The bathroom pipes also started leaking badly after a few showers and washing our hands. I told the manager and hope he fixed them. We did have a fairly pleasant stay otherwise. We were nervous after reading the reviews, but our fourth-floor apartment had just one bug by the doorway. With the heat in these cities, I can see how insects might get in. The place across the street, which I’d read could cause nighttime noise, was closed while we were there. If you book, maybe request the fourth floor and hope they put a bit more care into the place.

The location was great. My apartment had a few small problems, though: the toilet flush button was broken, the sink was damaged and glued back together, and one of the floating bedside tables had come loose and was on the floor. There weren’t any hangers in the wardrobes either.
