There was no cleaning and no staff around. I even had to email just to get toilet paper. After my stay, management tried to make a baseless, fraudulent damage claim against me. They had no “before” photos and backed down when I challenged it, but never apologised. This was my first trip to Alicante, and the place nearly ruined it. It’s a stain on Alicante’s tourism. Save your money and stay elsewhere. I’ve lodged a formal complaint with the Tourism Inspection Department.

The location is the main draw: it’s right by Alicante’s Mercado, close to lively areas, and surrounded by good places to eat and drink. It’s a budget-friendly place if you just need somewhere to sleep, but the rooms are very small. They do have air conditioning and a TV, though cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, could be better. Communication was tricky for me because most replies came in Spanish, even when I asked questions in English, so a translation app may come in handy. Early check-in is strictly by the book. The amenities are basic and there’s little interaction.

I paid €130 for two nights by myself, and the room didn’t come close to being worth that. The place felt old, run-down, and poorly cared for, with no welcoming atmosphere. We were sitting in the little lounge downstairs and the man working there didn’t even say hello. It felt like guests weren’t valued or acknowledged. I don’t usually write negative reviews, but I didn’t want anyone else to feel as disappointed as I did. The experience was terrible on every level, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room itself was tolerable, but in terrible condition: there was a hole in the wardrobe and everything was in awful shape. I documented it all and attached photos. There’s no official hotel policy, but according to Booking.com, we were paying mainly for internet and accommodation. There was no internet despite trying several times to connect and emailing the company three or four times. They never fixed it. Employees, one after another, insisted it worked, though I have proof it didn’t. I tried one network and then another, and neither connected. Oddly, the internet showed up just two rooms down the hallway. The last employee was extremely rude. He kept his foot in the doorway so it couldn’t be closed and knocked aggressively. We were scheduled to stay until 1:00 PM, but he started banging on the door at 12:50. That crossed basic privacy and personal boundaries. Terrible service, no internet, and unacceptable living conditions. My review is truthful, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
