Hotel Serawa Alicante

We walked to the marina, beach, and main town without any trouble, and also climbed up to the castle. The views were fabulous and the visit was well worth it. Alicante deserves at least two nights for the city, or longer if you’re using it as a base to explore further. The hotel had a good breakfast and a nice bar and restaurant area. Rooms were comfortable, the staff were fabulous, and the central location worked well. Street noise outside the front could bother light sleepers.

The staff really made our stay, from reception to breakfast and housekeeping. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and smiley. It’s a stylish, quirky hotel near the port, beach, and old town, with spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, and huge fluffy towels. We can definitely recommend it, and are already planning to return.

The bed was amazingly comfortable, and everyone we met was very polite, helpful, and spoke several languages. The location was phenomenal. We could hear a little street noise from our front-facing room despite the double-paned windows, but it wasn’t a big deal. The bathroom design looks great, though its clear panels let light spill onto your sleeping partner if you use the toilet at night. Those were small things in an otherwise excellent stay. I’d recommend it and would return.

The staff were friendly and informative, but we may have caught the hotel during a bad week. Breakfast was cold and uninspiring the one time we tried it. After a water problem, we were offered breakfast on the house for the next day, but didn’t take it. At checkout we were charged £20 for the breakfast we had eaten. The water outage was said to last half an hour, but went on for an hour and a half. There was also loud drilling from building work next door from around 8am most mornings. The bathroom in our junior suite was very large but cold, and despite our understanding that the suite came with a bath, there wasn’t one. The light switch was broken, so we couldn’t turn the light off.
