The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony, a big bathroom, and a very good breakfast selection that was kept stocked. There were lots of nice extras, like a coffee maker, water, sweets, toiletries, a toothbrush, comb, bathrobe, and slippers. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we'd visit again. A few things didn't work out: the pool was closed, though we were there in November and felt it was warm enough to be open. I couldn't get the jacuzzi bath working, the shower only had warm water and never got hot, and the mini fridge was plugged in but didn't seem to cool.

The rooms were clean, but stuffy, and it was hard to sleep with no air circulation. There's no decent parking or air conditioning, and the staff came across as arrogant and unhelpful. I have to stay here for work, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Two days before we were due to arrive, the hotel cancelled all three rooms because they had trouble authorizing my card. I called just 30 minutes after the cancellation email came through and was ready to pay, but they told me I'd have to book again at a much higher rate instead of honoring the original price. That's €1,500 in lost revenue for the hotel, and I certainly won't recommend their customer service.

The location is great, though you do hear street noise. Our room door handle came off as soon as we entered, and the hotel feels quite dated. The gym is small, with only three machines working, if I remember right. Parking is very limited and can't be reserved, but fortunately we found another garage nearby.

The staff are brilliant and so friendly, and they really go out of their way to help you have a great stay. The breakfast is lovely and the pool is a must. The hotel is beautiful and right in central Almeria, with restaurants, bars, and the shopping centre all within walking distance. I'd definitely come back. 😁
