On City Resort Apartments

I’m deeply disappointed by how the hotel handled our reservation. With the red alert in place and the recent train tragedy, traveling with my two-year-old son wasn’t possible. His safety had to come first, as any parent would understand. I explained the circumstances well in advance and asked for some understanding, but the hotel offered no option at all, not even a date change or partial refund. I felt treated like a number instead of a family in a difficult situation, with no empathy or humanity.

With a two-year-old child and a red weather alert in place, we decided not to make the trip. There had also recently been a transport tragedy with fatalities, and we felt traveling posed a real risk, so our child’s safety came first. We contacted the apartment accommodation, explained the circumstances, and asked for a refund. The answer was no, with no empathy or common sense. It felt as if money mattered more than the safety of a family and child. The response was irresponsible, unprofessional, and inhumane. I absolutely don't recommend this place. If something serious happens, don't expect understanding or a solution.

We arrived later than planned, but the kind, attentive gentleman who welcomed us didn't mind at all. He even explained a quicker way to get there. Everything was very clean, and although we were staying in an apartment, we also had room service. We spent a family weekend and couldn't have picked a better place. If we come back to Matalascañas, and we definitely will, we'll stay here again. Thanks so much for everything, you treated us like family ❤️

The apartment was clean and well kept, and having a fully equipped kitchen made cooking easy. We also enjoyed our stay overall. A train ran directly to the beach every 30 minutes, which was convenient. We definitely recommend it for a pleasant stay.
