Mecina Bombarón is a charming little village in the heart of the Alpujarra, sometimes called “the book village,” though it doesn’t seem very well known. The chestnut-tree hikes are wonderful this time of year. Loli was always attentive and incredibly helpful. The accommodation itself was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained. We highly recommend it.

We spent Friday to Monday here with the family, and it was an unforgettable weekend. Loli is a gem, so attentive, and she talked us through things to do. We stayed busy and entertained every day. The apartment was spotless, and I’d absolutely recommend it. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks, Loli 😘

We’ve been here before and will definitely return. The apartments have a lovely fairytale feel, and the facilities are clean and well equipped. It’s a great spot for a few quiet days. We did have a small reservation issue, but they sorted it out wonderfully, which is another reason for the top rating.

Mecina Bombaron is a small village, but it’s full of charm, stories, books, and a bit of magic. We had a great time at Macabes, and paid for an extra day after getting our voucher through emociom so we could stay longer. The accommodation was clean, well kept, and in a perfect spot with wonderful mountain views. It felt quiet and family friendly. The pool area has loungers, tables, and a bathroom, plus you can play music and charge your phone. There’s also a shared barbecue area, which we used. Everything was lovely, and I hope we can do it again!
