The quiet of the village and the sea breeze made each day feel restful. The Corner House of Altafulla has such carefully considered design that it was easy to relax there. We left feeling refreshed after a stay that was everything we’d hoped for, and we’re already promising ourselves we’ll come back.

The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk along winding streets lined with colorful houses, cafes, and bakeries. My kids especially loved the game room, with its foosball table, darts, and ping pong, which the photos don’t show. The house is even lovelier in person than its already beautiful pictures suggest. It’s well furnished and decorated, right in the center of Altafulla’s old section, and made a great base for a family beach trip and a day trip to Barcelona.

The personalized service meant a lot to us. We had a wonderful time at the Corner House, which became a really special place for us. Altafulla and the house made a lovely combination for an enjoyable vacation.

Some corners of this charming house feel almost like a museum, and the attention to detail is clear. It’s in the heart of Altafulla, a former fishing village that’s still one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Dorada. Though it’s old, it’s very well preserved and equipped, with lots of comforts. Highly recommended, and the hosts are wonderful.
