The views and quiet are fantastic, especially under the starry night sky. We spent 6 days at "Mirador de la Era" Rural House, 1.7 km from the village in Abdalajís Valley, and found it peaceful and comfortable. It’s a great place to get away from everything, relax, and enjoy the scenery. The house has the supplies you need, including cooking utensils, bathroom towels, and bedroom sheets and pillows, so there’s no need to worry about missing anything. The one downside is that the only air conditioner is in the living room, though we didn’t need it on most nights. 100% recommended if you’re after peace and quiet and incredible views.

There’s a strange smell inside, with lots of flies in the house and wasps around the pool. The road is difficult to get up, and I wouldn’t recommend it in rainy weather or for a low-clearance car. The house doesn’t work for 10 people: there’s no room in the bedrooms or enough space at the dining table, and the kitchen has no utensils.

The house was welcoming and very well equipped, and both the owner and the woman who showed us around and saw us off were very friendly. A great choice for a few days with friends or family. We’ll definitely come back.

A quiet, tucked-away country cottage with lovely views and an outdoor pool. It’s a handy base for El Torcal, Málaga, and the Caminito del Rey. We could have used a bit more heating in the cold.

The hosts were really friendly, and the house was clean with beautiful views in a very quiet spot. But the access road is steep, winding, and uneven. Several windows have no mosquito nets, so insects get in. The two extra beds for 10 people are crammed almost between the others, and the spring mattresses aren’t great. The doors squeaked, so I oiled the hinges myself. There’s a little toy chest, but its sharp-edged lid actually cut our hand. The fridge makes a lot of ice and doesn’t keep things cold enough.
