BLUESEA Puerto Caleta Hotel

The location is great, about 10 minutes from the beach, with shops nearby. We hardly used any of the services, but room cleaning every two days was good. We mostly explored and came back to sleep, so the basic rooms were OK for what we paid. The hob took a long time to heat up, so cooking much wasn't practical. Eating out worked better for us. There were lots of tiny ants, though I see them everywhere, not just at this hotel. The pool water was very cold, so we didn't use it. At first we were given a downstairs room without private outdoor space. I didn't feel safe there with the children, since I like to keep the windows open. The woman at reception was very kind and moved us to an upstairs room.

The rooms are quite dated and very dark, but the facilities are good, the staff are really friendly, and the pool and sunbeds are well looked after. It's good value for the price and location. I'd recommend it to anyone who just wants a base and sees the accommodation as somewhere to sleep.

Sunaina at reception was so lovely. She recommended a few restaurants for my wife and me, and every one turned out to be a hit. The apartments are basic and feel old fashioned, so they could use a refurb, but the location near town and the beach makes a great base. For the price, I really can't complain. Just don't expect luxury.

We'd been visiting Fuerteventura and staying in Caleta de Fuste for ten years, and this was easily the worst place we've stayed. We booked at short notice on 28/12/25 to fly on 31/12/25, and weren't expecting much, but even our low standards weren't met. The location is convenient, close to everything, though we usually stay up the hill and walk into town. The open grounds sit between two roads and public paths, with no perimeter barrier, which didn't feel ideal with kids. The pool and pool area were clean and basic, and the kids enjoyed swimming. Our room was 84. It smelled of cigarettes and had ants everywhere. We told staff ten minutes after checking in, and the woman gave us an air freshener. The self-catering kitchen had no kettle, and the two hobs took over half an hour to heat, then even longer to cook anything. The shower doors were barely attached and there was black mould; the sink was cracked. After brushing our teeth on the first night, we found bugs all over our toothbrushes the next morning. We couldn't change rooms or hotels because everywhere was fully booked. We'd been told we'd have two rooms, but got one bedroom and a sofa bed. The bed sloped from head to toe, and the two beds kept pulling apart in the night. We slept terribly for all ten nights. My daughter also woke saying someone had come into the room while we were asleep. I didn't see anyone, but she was sure, and since the door was barely hanging on and wouldn't lock, I put stools in front of it so I could sleep. The staff were all really nice. The late receptionist let us use an iron for the whole stay for free and charged only €5 for a kettle for ten days. The cleaning ladies were lovely too, coming every one or two days with fresh bedding and towels. They're doing what they can with what they have.
