The buffet is still at a high standard, and the location is handy, with the main places nearby, including Hiper Dino supermarket. Staying in the bungalows was a real discovery for us this year. I'd recommend it to people who like a quiet, relaxing holiday. Most of the staff are kind, though the chefs at the live-cooking station seemed a little unfamiliar.

Vincenzo, who runs and organises the activities, was professional, attentive and always available when we needed something. When we thought finding a surf school was hopeless, he managed to find one for us. Absolutely fantastic, and I really recommend relying on him. The hotel itself is great, in a strategic spot about 10 minutes from the airport, with easy access to both the north and south.

There are lots of green spaces, and the hotel feels pretty and well organised. The rooms are clean and set up to give you privacy, with no shared balconies and no direct view into neighbouring windows. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was good, with something different on most evenings alongside the usual dishes. The nearby sandy beach is huge and well kept. Sun loungers cost an extra 10 euros a day, and the swimming area is separate from water sports. There's a well-stocked mini market in the main building, plus other shops and restaurants within walking distance. It's close to the airport, and a taxi from outside the terminal is fairly inexpensive. With other hotels and shared spaces nearby, it can sometimes be hard to tell what your booking includes, such as half board or all-inclusive. That could be explained and marked more clearly.

We stayed at Barceló Fuerteventura Castillo from 8-18 Jan 2026 on an all-inclusive basis. The package was fine, but the people really made the place. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and the housekeeping was excellent. The MAFASCA restaurant team ran things very well, while Dara and Steven at the MAREA pool bar were friendly and brought great energy. I'd be happy to return.
