Elba Castillo San Jorge & Antigua Suite Hotel

We just got back from an amazing holiday. The room views were such a treat, and our balcony became one of our favourite places during the stay. It's a great atmosphere for groups with children and a lovely location for walking around and exploring a bit. We loved the amenities and all-inclusive options, and had no complaints about cleanliness. Everyone at reception, in the bar and restaurant, and on the entertainment team gave us a warm welcome and great service. 10/10 for the value!

The location was a real plus, right by the sea and a short walk from the beach. We also had a sea view from our large, spacious room. The decor was a little dated, but the place seemed to have been recently renovated, so it felt fresh and clean. Finding reception was tricky, though. We walked right past the entrance because it had a slightly different name. We took the all-inclusive package for the first time and thought it was well worth it. There was a good range of drinks at the bar and plenty of buffet options, including lots of fish. The food could get a bit repetitive, but we liked having a small carvery and hot plate section. One evening we had delicious steak from the hot plate. The staff we met were friendly, and we made use of the mini arcade, pool tables, table tennis and on-site shop. There were lots of organized games and activities too, a bit like being on a cruise ship. We had a great stay at Elba Castillo San jorge hotel, which exceeded our expectations. I'd highly recommend it for a relaxed break.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the view from our large, spacious room was amazing. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the WiFi was free and mostly fine despite being a bit hit and miss. Still, the hotel felt dated and grubby, and the room could have used fresh paint and new furniture. Cleaning wasn't thorough either. They made the bed, but after five days there was dust on everything. The facilities were okay, though the buffet disappointed us. The food was mushy, there weren't many options, and a lot of it had no labels. Noise was another problem. The rooms aren't soundproof, so our final night was ruined by the next door guests talking loudly on their balcony until 2am. We often heard cleaning start around 7:30am. It was also disappointing that although I booked for myself and my male partner under my name and spoke to the receptionist, they put everything in my partner's name at check-in. I'd call it a three-star hotel, though it could reach four with improvements.

The location was great, with everything close by. The staff were kind, helpful and always smiling, and you could count on them for support in any situation. There was never a dull moment thanks to the animation team. They organized great activities and brought positive energy throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and would gladly return.
