Aparthotel la Piramide

I wanted somewhere quiet to relax, especially in January, and this suited me well. The area was peaceful, and staff were helpful, spoke English, and made everything easy. The rooms were very clean, with plenty of towels, spare blankets and pillows. My room had a king-size bed, TV in the living room, a bathtub, separate entrance for each room, and lots of storage. The living and kitchen area was spacious. The kitchen had a hob, microwave, coffee jug, kettle, utensils, plates, cups, pans, and a fridge. There was a swimming pool with plenty of room to sit around, plus a small pub for drinks and snacks, though I didn't order anything. Near reception, a large room had a pool table, games, and a bookshelf with different books. It's also family-friendly, with a playground at the hotel and a pool that's shallow at one end and clearly visible from the room. Getting around is easier with a car if you don't like walking, though the location is convenient. The airport is a 10-minute drive; my taxi cost €18, and there's a bus too. Lidl and other markets such as Matalan and China Town are about a 15-minute walk away. Caleta De Fuste is around 30-40 minutes on foot, with plenty of restaurants, while Costa de Antigua has few. Scooters are available to rent almost everywhere. The one thing I'd change is adding basics like sugar, salt, pepper, tea, and coffee to the room. There's no food at the hotel, so I shopped for breakfast and would've liked those seasonings for cooking. I couldn't make coffee in my room either, since there was none provided, only a machine at reception. Even so, it was a very good stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

We were delighted with what we got for the price and would definitely come back. The staff were all friendly and ready to help, and the place had a relaxed feel, whether you were chilling by the pool or getting drinks and a light lunch at the pool bar. A pint of Estrella was €2. Our apartment was bigger than we're used to, clean, and reasonably well equipped. Cleaning staff came three times a week. The coastal walk to Caleta takes 30-40 minutes and is stunning, with cute little chipmunks to spot on the way. You can get to the beach or some nightlife there. Locally, there are a few bars and restaurants and a little shop. The beds weren't very comfortable, though I haven't yet found a holiday apartment where they are.

The complex has a lovely design, a wonderful pool with a bar in the middle, and plenty of parking. The staff were friendly and helped when I asked for extra towels and a hairdryer. There's also a peaceful seaside walk less than five minutes away. The location isn't great for things to do nearby, so you'll definitely need a car unless you want to wait for the bus. The area itself is quiet, though. Some parts feel old and worn from time passing, even if they still work. The towels were so old they barely dried you, and they smelled odd after the first use. In my first room, the door wouldn't close properly and always had a gap. The lock was broken, and the improvised-looking repair didn't seem safe, even though the area didn't feel shady or dangerous. In short, I'd stay again if I could get a better price.
