The setting in the landscape is a real highlight. In May, you can walk through fields full of poppies, cornflowers, honeysuckle, wild roses, and lavender. The hotel, in an old mill, is cared for with obvious pride, and Iciar & Gilliam made us feel so welcome. It was a pleasure to find such a peaceful oasis near Burgos. Dinner is all homemade and comes with lovely wines, so make sure you stay for a meal. Breakfast is fresh, served to you, and made to your specifications. Wonderful.

We’ll definitely return. The home-cooked dinner was delicious, and they took real care with any allergen issues. Before dinner, we enjoyed local wine as an aperitivo in the secluded, pleasant garden. Iciar did everything she could to make our stay perfect, and our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s a tranquil hidden gem, conveniently close to Burgos, and the 7KW EV charger makes it a good stopover for an electric car while travelling through Spain.

The immediate area doesn’t have anything of interest, though Burgos is only 15 minutes away and easy to visit. It’s an old watermill rebuilt as a countryside hotel, with spacious indoor areas that are very well kept. The bed and bedding were very good. The welcome was friendly-ish.

We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The hosts made us feel really welcome, and having dinner there turned out to be the best decision of the day. It was made with love from local produce. Great bedroom and bathroom, too. Thanks for the bitterkas! Xx

A wonderful rural hotel, with beautiful surroundings. The owner and family were really helpful. Fabulous place, and I highly recommend it for visiting the Burgos area.
