The location made it easy to park nearby and head out for a walk, and the hotel also has its own lot if there’s no room on the street. Our room faced the back of the building, with an interior window. It was small, but fair for the price and where it is. The facilities were fine, with nothing broken or damp, though the room could do with a renovation. The receptionist was especially helpful. She took time to suggest places to see and restaurants she’d tried herself, and her recommendations were right on.

The room was clean and cozy, and the reception staff were polite. We were only there for one night, and the stay was fine apart from a few things. The bed was really uncomfortable, with springs you could feel digging in. There was no hairdryer, the bathtub was very slippery, and the shower gel smelled like disinfectant. Starting around 9 pm, the hallways got pretty noisy from both other guests and the cleaning staff.

We’d paid for breakfast on both Sunday and Monday, but there wasn’t any on Monday because the hotel was closed. Service was pretty appalling, and I wouldn’t come back or recommend it. We spent two days there this past weekend, and our room was freezing when we arrived. It was an interior room with no natural light. The bathroom looked like it belonged in the 1960s, the toilet paper rolls had already been half used, and the showerhead hook wouldn’t hold it in place. With no reception staff around, we called to complain about the cold. We were told to go downstairs and speak to an automated customer service line. In the end, they just showed us a cupboard with blankets and toilet paper we could use. The bed seemed to have music playing.
