The owner was lovely and took good care of us. We found the house comfortable, well equipped, and secluded enough for a peaceful few days. It smelled nice, and cleanliness was adequate, though the floor hygiene had a few minor issues. I’d rate it 7.5. Getting there was awkward: it isn't in the village, and the approach has some steep slopes. The kitchen and bathroom cupboards badly need replacing, and the closets wouldn't shut properly. There was no washing machine either. We were disappointed because the excellent reviews we'd read didn't reflect our four-day stay.

We spent a weekend here and I really didn't like it. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the hot water ran low, so by the third shower it was cold. The washing machine was broken. The owner's attention was almost nonexistent; she didn't explain anything, and I had to ask to find things out.

We had a really pleasant stay in this well-equipped country house, just up a hill outside Arenas de Cabrales, with spectacular views of the Picos de Europa mountains. It has a living room and kitchen along with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen had everything, including a washing machine, toaster, and coffee maker.

The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. The owner was very friendly and replied to messages right away. I'd definitely stay at her place again if I return to Arenas de Cabrales.
