Dinner here became our routine every night we were in Isla. The staff are so welcoming, especially Sonia and Aurelio, who made us feel right at home. We loved the sapito pescado most. It comes as a whole fish, though I forgot to take a photo. The portions of fresh fish are generous, too.

The breakfast setup was disappointing, with some of it laid out on a table made from trestles. This place was named best hotel in 2011, but it seems to have gone downhill since. When we asked the desk staff where we could safely leave our bikes, she made it clear she didn't see it as her problem. Service here seems to mean something different from what it does elsewhere.

The free parking was handy and worked as expected, and the view was great. Breakfast, though, was pretty mediocre, and the A/C only blew hot air. The room was an okay size, much like the hotel itself. Staff were alright, although at breakfast one of them came at me with a bunch of questions.

The location works well if you want to be downtown, but I wouldn't recommend the place. The food and service were both quite average, and the rabas, a local classic, were poorly prepared.

We enjoyed dinner enough to come back for lunch the next day. It's a beautiful, stylish place in a convenient spot, with lovely service and incredible food. Worth what it costs.
