Colon II

Everything was very clean and well kept, both in the apartments and around them. The place is central for everything, yet we didn’t hear much noise. The pool bar food was good, and the bar was nice in the evenings. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our first stay here, but we’ll definitely be back.

We ate at the places right outside the apartments a few times and really liked the food and coffee. There are also plenty of shops nearby for breakfast things, and lots of other places to eat. The apartment was a good size and had what we needed, with a balcony that made it even better. The pool was lovely, and the beautiful beach is just a short walk away. We’d booked a budget week and hadn’t expected such a good apartment in such a handy spot. There was an industrial strike while we were there, but service continued. The striking workers handed out leaflets in English explaining why they were striking. They were noisy, though I understood and appreciated why they were doing it. We’d definitely stay here again.

There are loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and the beach is only a few minutes away on foot. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a short break in a studio that was basic, but had everything we needed. It was spotless and comfortable, and I’d happily stay again.

We’ve stayed at the colon twice now and are going back in December. Can’t wait. It’s a lovely hotel, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it.
