Fogar De Lecer

The hosts were wonderful, and we had a great dinner in this large, beautiful country house. It’s an absolutely charming and lovely place, a perfect spot. It’s about a kilometer and a half from town, though that didn’t really matter. The town itself isn’t especially pretty, while this place is.

I travel quite often but don’t usually write reviews. Casa Rural Fogar de Lecer made me want to make an exception. What stayed with me most was how personally the hosts welcomed us. They don’t just manage a guesthouse, they make you feel at home, cared for and at ease. The house and room were spotless, which made the whole place feel calm and healthy. It’s beautiful too, with a rustic character, tasteful decor and thoughtful touches throughout, from the architecture to the smallest details in the shared areas and room. The setting along the Camino is quiet and works really well as a place to rest and recharge, while still being accessible for pilgrims and other travelers. If I ever had to live in a hotel for a long time, I’d honestly choose Fogar de Lecer. It’s more than a place to stay, and feeling at home like that is rare.

The setting was beautiful and the decor was nice, but the rooms weren’t quiet. We didn’t enjoy the dinner, especially given how expensive it was. The staff were friendly, though they weren’t as helpful as we’d hoped. Breakfast had been promised, but wasn’t provided or even possible. We left disappointed.

The food was amazing. I wished I had a bigger belly so I could try everything on the menu ☺️. We felt welcome and at home, and I could let my dog enjoy the garden without feeling she was a problem. It’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind, with really well done interior decor and a lot of thought put into the whole place. I liked it so much I decided to stay an extra night. Gracias 🙏🏽
