The restaurant was a real highlight for us, with fresh food packed with local flavor, and every meal felt like a treat that kept us going on the Camino. The rooms were spacious, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, and the welcoming team made us feel at home. Our stay at Lar da Mota boutique hotel in Arzúa was a memorable part of the journey. We’d happily recommend it to other Camino travelers looking for good food and generous hospitality.

The food was exceptional, and Prema took real care to accommodate all our dietary needs. We were traveling as a group, so the calm shared spaces in this beautifully decorated house were especially welcome. The fascinating objects collected by the owners give it a lot of character, and the house was well worth the 15-minute taxi ride from the Camino. It was chilly when we arrived, after an unusually cold April day of walking in wet clothes, but Prema tried to adjust the heating, which we appreciated. I’d highly recommend staying here. It was a highlight of our Camino.

We spent four nights here last September while traveling to Santiago, and it was easily the best hotel of our whole Camino route. The buffet breakfast had a range and quality we didn’t find elsewhere on the route, perhaps comparable only to a 5-star hotel in Santiago or La Coruña. Dinner stood out too, with Asian gourmet dishes alongside local options, an unexpected combination. The couple who run the hotel bring years of international hospitality experience to their home. Our room was clean and well laid out, with an extraordinary comfortable bed and a bathtub that was welcome after long days walking. We’ll recommend it to friends and would definitely return.

After a 30 km day on the Camino, the friendly staff made us feel comfortable and looked after. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the hotel sits in a beautiful spot. The food was the real standout for us. We’ve stayed and eaten at all kinds of paradors and high-end hotels while walking the French Way, yet our best meal was right here. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. It was a relaxing, memorable stay, and we’ll gladly go out of our way to come back on our next trip to Spain.

Quiet, with tasty restaurant food and really good customer service. It’s a great place for pilgrims on the French, Northern, or Primitivo routes of the Camino de Santiago, and works well for travelers who speak only English.
