The place looked great at first, with a quirky, handcrafted living space that felt cozy and homely. But after my only night there, I had about 15 bed bug bites. I was really disappointed. If you want pets sleeping with you, this is a great choice.

The host’s attention made this a worthwhile stop during my three days here after injuring my knee. He’s humble and doesn’t seem to put money first with pilgrims. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable curtained beds, lights, and sockets, though they were cold enough that I needed a sleeping bag. The kitchen has everything for cooking except a microwave. Showers only got warm, and there was no basic floor towel in the restroom, so the floor got wet. I especially enjoyed the relaxing common area, sunny during the day and warmed by a pellet stove at night. There’s a small shop at reception for emergency food, and a nearby bar that’s almost always open and sells fresh bread. This place has loads of potential and is one of the most breathtaking, unique stops on the Camino. I’d definitely recommend stopping by.

The kitchen is really well equipped, and the shower facilities were good, though a bit small. I liked having curtains on the beds. Everything felt clean and modern, but still had a rustic charm. I loved this stop on the Camino.

This cozy little place was beautiful, and it’s my favorite stop on the Camino so far.

The hosts have a lot of imagination and inventiveness, turning the building into a characterful, unique hostel with a room or two to rent. It’s right along the Camino de Santiago and has what you need for an overnight stay, including a sunny courtyard for drying hand-washed clothes and places to get a decent meal nearby. You can also cook in the in-house kitchen with food from the nearby supermarket.
