Gran Hostal San Segundo

It was freezing outside, but my room was comfortably warm and well equipped, and I was able to rest without any trouble. I arrived unexpectedly after technical problems forced me to leave my previous accommodation. Luckily they had a room free, and the staff were so kind and helpful from the start. They sorted everything out quickly and professionally. I'm very grateful for their hospitality and the reassurance they gave me at a difficult time.

The bathroom was spotless and perfectly fine, and the location is right in the center. I loved the charming, spacious room, especially its skylight. Seeing the sky from bed while lying there with your partner is priceless. My only gripe was that the beds were two singles. We'd come back.

There are lots of bars close by, and you can hear the street and bar noise at night. Still, the location is right in central Ávila, with restaurants, pubs, a bank, a bakery, souvenir shops, and more all around. The receptionist is very pleasant. Rooms are kept clean and tidy every day, beds are made, and fresh towels are left. The maid service is excellent.

It's directly across from the cathedral, and the staff are very friendly. The rooms are simple, but have everything you need for a couple of days.
