We enjoyed having the beach right across the street for walks, and there was tasty food beyond the port. The grocery store on the corner was handy too. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, and the property manager and owner were courteous. Every bed was so comfortable, maybe the best we’ve had in Barcelona. We had to look up how to use the washer-dryer, but were glad it was there.

Getting to the house takes some effort, but the amazing views made that feel worth it. The host was very helpful, and the house is kept in great shape.

The location worked fine for getting to Barcelona, just a few tram stops away, but the area beyond the tracks was rough, with a big complex of Chinese warehouses and dirt, rubbish, and mess blowing around. I wasn’t impressed by Barcelona itself either. For a city founded in ancient times, it felt poor to me. Compare it with Split in Croatia to see what I mean. Maybe everyone has their own taste, but a few Gaudi buildings are what tourism seems to revolve around there, and that didn’t do much for me. The pool was another disappointment. The listing said it was heated and available, but it was padlocked. On a sunny day at 25 degrees Celsius, I wanted to swim. I also found the security situation alarming. There’s a lot of theft, and after travelling all over Europe I’ve never felt it was this bad. The police don’t step in, are unhelpful to tourists, and refuse to take crime reports.

The rooms and bed were spacious, and both the kitchen and bathroom were very clean. I’ve rented plenty of apartments for short stays around Europe, but none was as comfortable or as nice as this one. If I return to Barcelona, I’m sure I’ll book here again. Highly recommend it.
