Hotel Rey Sancho Ramirez

The place has a strange, almost franquist feel and sits in the middle of nowhere. Inside, it’s dark, old, and neglected, with filthy carpets, lights that flicker for minutes before coming on, and huge bug nests on every balcony. The staff were curt and seemed clueless about basic hospitality. It felt haunted. Avoid it.

We loved the retro glam, and the area has plenty of interesting paths and nature spots to explore. Our spacious room was mint green and really well kept, with a bed radio that became our favourite thing. Our daughter found a station and we danced around the room together. That’s a memory we’ll keep for years. The bed was comfy, everything was super clean, and the staff were kind. Such a lovely place, with charming retro touches and luxurious features from the past.

We stopped for a quick toilet break and a drink while charging our EV. The staff were friendly, and using the facilities was no problem. There’s even a sign opposite the chargers encouraging you to come in.

A clean, functional place, though the hotel itself is old and simple. The restaurant attached was good for a relaxing break and had great service. Hotel staff were friendly, but didn’t know much about customer service, and breakfast was just okay. It’s handy if you’re driving, since it’s by the speedway, but not if you want to walk into Barbastro’s center.
