I was meant to arrive for my 50th birthday, but the staff wouldn't even let me check in an hour early at 16:00. They were also extremely unfriendly when replying to email questions. Check-in is 17:00 and checkout is 9:00. You pay the full rate for just 16 hours, not 70% of it. Honestly, is that a joke? Apparently not. Those are probably the worst arrival and departure times I've ever experienced. Beware!

The seafront is broad and pleasant, lined with bars and restaurants. The beach itself is expansive, with fine golden sand.

I spent the whole weekend at PLAYA BARBATE, trying some interesting restaurants and eating the local food. The "feria" was really nice.
