Hotel Abbot

The front desk guys were consistently friendly and helpful, and the service was amazing. Breakfast was tasty with lots of options, and I'll definitely come back. It's great value for money, very close to Sants station, with metro and bus stops within walking distance. The rooms are a decent size, though not very quiet, and the mattress is a bit hard. Nothing too bad.

I left Hotel Abbot very disappointed and wouldn't recommend it. The receptionist working Saturday afternoon, whose name I don't know, was extremely unfriendly. Without tourists, you might as well stay home, so be grateful visitors come to your city and that you have a job. I hope this serves as a lesson.

The receptionists are generally nice and helpful, though I think they could make more effort to seem and sound courteous. Basically, these men need to smile more. The room was clean, but its size and amenities felt more like a 3-star place. The bed was oddly light and moved whenever I did. Since I didn't pay a 4-star room rate either, that's understandable.

I had trouble sleeping because the hotel's ventilation kept humming. The first room felt depressing; the second was much better, though small. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was nice with a powerful shower. I don't understand why hotels still hand out complimentary soap and gel in little plastic bottles when refillable dispensers would be cheaper and better for the environment.
