Hotel Acta Azul

I used this as a stopover between Paris and Madrid, and it was good value. The room was clean and felt safe, and the towels were good. The bed was okay, though the pillows weren’t to my taste. The toilet door didn’t close properly, but it wasn’t a big issue.

I stayed here in March 2026, and it was one of my worst hotel experiences. The air conditioning worked, but the hotel had disconnected it and refused to switch it on. At reception, I was told the outside temperature was cool, which made no sense when the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. They suggested opening the windows, but the busy avenue outside brought constant traffic noise. With the heat indoors and the noise outside, I couldn’t sleep. The room also seemed badly maintained: the shower had no glass door and the pipes were clogged. For the price and location, I expected basic comfort and working amenities. This hotel let me down on every level. Never again.

Our Barcelona holiday was wonderful. We had a clean, spacious and comfortable room here, and the staff were friendly. The location was great too. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Avoid this place. Noise and shaking were way beyond normal, and you could hear domestic violence through the thin plasterboard walls. The air vents were dusty, and the curtains didn’t properly block the view of the next-door neighbour. The hotel manipulated check-in and check-out times to make guests pay for an extra night. The receptionist who said he was Nicko had a sickening attitude. Worst experience of my life.
