The location was really good, and the woman who worked there was lovely. But we had a lot of problems. The room was cleaned daily, but housekeeping left our doors unlocked afterward, which was a clear security issue. We also woke up covered in bites, and someone had used one of my bags as a bin bag. That's unacceptable. When we arrived, there weren't any towels. We got some the next day, but the room should have been ready when we checked in. Finding the hotel was difficult too. It's an apartment in a block of flats with no elevator, and we spent ages trying to work out where to go. We'd confirmed an airport shuttle, but the hotel didn't pass the details on properly, so there was no taxi waiting for us. Breakfast was far below standard: cookies, fruit left out, and bread for toast. Since we'd paid for it, I expected a proper selection. If you're looking for a budget stay, I think you'd be better off renting an apartment somewhere.

Jinky, the hostess, took great care of everything we needed, and the room was spacious and super clean. We loved our three nights there. Breakfast was a lovely way to start the day, and it was super value for a city stay in Barcelona. We'd recommend it.

This felt more like an Airbnb than a proper hotel, and they didn't have a working card machine. I had to give my card details over the phone to someone so they could take payment. It might suit someone watching their budget, but I wouldn't recommend it for a business trip. Breakfast didn't start until 9, far too late for me.

The room felt more like a dorm than an apartment, with three single beds and no living space. There were no blankets, and the toilet ran constantly. We waited over 30 minutes for anyone to show up for check-in. If all you need is a no-frills place to sleep, you might manage here. But if you're over 25, I'd book somewhere else. Easily the worst place we stayed during our three weeks in Spain.

It's a short walk to Cataluña square, but the pictures on the website make the place look much better than it is. Once you get your keys and enter, they require payment in full in advance. Our room was very old, there was no AC and the bed wasn't good. Cleaning service only comes after a five-day stay.
