Alcam Laforja

We left after only 10 minutes and ended up having to find a hotel for that night and the whole week. The apartment was terribly unhygienic: the toilet hadn’t been flushed, there was feces and urine in the bathroom, and mold in the living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom. There was a strong smell of smoke everywhere. Before we could get inside, we were told to register on another platform, sign an additional electronic contract, pay a €380 damage deposit, and install an app to unlock the electronic door. Even though we’d booked through a traditional website, they said we couldn’t enter unless we did all of that. The host’s communication was awful. Sometimes they wouldn’t respond, sometimes they answered and hung up, and at times they pushed me to communicate in Spanish or said they couldn’t hear me. They also said their manager had just gone on holiday and they couldn’t do anything. They made several claims that weren’t true, including that we’d stayed two nights, and kept saying it until they couldn’t prove it. If you were affected by this host, find me on social media by my full name. I’m creating a group, already seeking legal advice and planning to go public.
