The welcome at reception stood out. It was the first time anyone had personally shown me around a hotel, and that made the stay better. I visited in July, 2021, and stayed in room 6 of this 7 room hotel. Even given the central location, the room was quieter than I expected. It was extremely clean, with classic furniture and a great bathtub by the window, where you could sit with a glass of wine and watch people on the street. The hotel’s old and modern design worked beautifully, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom also had a nice rain shower. I really enjoyed it and recommend staying here.

The breakfast was good quality and generous for the price. There’s a huge reception area and a terrace where you can eat it, plus coffee, tea, and cookies in the lobby all day. The entrance is a little hidden, but the staff are helpful and accommodating with check-in and check-out, and even arranging a taxi. We loved our corner suite. It was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and good value, with bathrobes, slippers, and other little touches you’d expect at a 5 star hotel. The boutique hotel has only 6-7 rooms. The location is very convenient, right by the metro and an 8 minute walk from the Plaza Catalunya airport bus stop. We’d gladly return, especially to the suite.

After breakfast, we liked relaxing with a coffee and croissant in the lovely enclosed garden beside the dining area. The staff were extremely helpful, and the room was lovely, though a little small. For an extra e20 per night, I’d suggest upgrading to the super deluxe room. The hotel is right by the metro, with bars, shops, and restaurants close by, making it a great base for sightseeing. It was a pleasant, friendly place, and we’d definitely stay again.

It was an ideal place to settle into for our romantic getaway and explore the city we’d been dreaming about. The location is perfect, very close to the metro, and the place is clean, tidy, and nicely decorated, with a mix of modern and historic style. The staff were sweet and courteous. You can hear through the walls pretty well. City sounds didn’t bother us, since that’s normal here, but we worried that other guests could hear us coming home late or staying up talking about the day. Earplugs or a white noise app should help with the echoey noise. Aside from that, I’d give it five stars.
