Barcelona Central Garden

Patrick was so friendly and happy to answer all our questions. The hostel is small, which helped keep it quiet, and the room was basic but spotless. Great spot if you're out exploring all day. This was my first hostel stay, and I'd happily come back.

I never stayed there because I only noticed the age limit too late. One listing said guests over 47 weren't allowed in a four-bed room, another said over 45, and a third said over 50. The rule was inconsistent and not clearly highlighted. At 7am on arrival day, I messaged to explain that I'd only just seen it and was urgently trying to find another option while anything was still available. They replied almost 30 hours later, saying I should have come and they could have made a compromise. Since I didn't show up, they canceled all six days of my booking. How can you cancel my stay without any refund? I could have asked a younger person to use the accommodation I'd paid for. They canceled it and rented out the time slot too. They should be ashamed. It felt frivolous and unprofessional.

I stayed three nights in a private room in central Barcelona. The room had a balcony and private shower, and the place was quiet and safe. Towels and sheets were changed every day, as was the impeccable cleaning. Reception staff were friendly, and there's free Wi-Fi. Laundry is available for an extra fee at reception. I'd definitely recommend this hostel.

Patrick was so kind and went out of his way to make things lovely for my mum and me. We had a private room, and my mum was surprised by how much she liked it. The hostel was smaller than the photos suggested, which made it feel low-key, and it was cleaner than average. The location was great, though a little tricky to find. I had a fantastic time in Barcelona, and staying here added to it. Just remember the tourist tax: for three nights we paid around 24.00 euros.
