Barcelona Princess Hotel

The hotel was one of the nicest I’ve stayed at in Barcelona. I spent a week there for a work conference, and the staff and customer service were brilliant. Ivan deserves a special mention: he was always around to help. The free minibar was topped up every day, and the location is handy, next to a tube stop and a shopping centre. One person working in the bar was rude to me, but the hotel staff apologised on his behalf.

I arrived straight from the hospital, and the staff were incredibly kind. They got me a wheelchair without hesitation and helped me up to my room. The team was warm, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout, and that was the standout part of the stay. The hotel sits somewhere between standard and upscale and doesn’t quite commit either way. The facilities are genuinely good, with two heated pools, a gym, and a sauna. My room was okay, though too hot, and the toilet didn’t work when I arrived. To their credit, maintenance came right away and fixed it quickly. Some policies felt excessive for a hotel charging over €100 a night, especially with a shopping centre next door. Borrowing a fork would have cost €6, and guests aren’t supposed to bring in outside food or shopping bags. No one stopped us bringing in a late-night delivery when the restaurant was closed, thankfully, but the rule still seemed unnecessary.

We were impressed by the sea views over the Mediterranean and Barcelona skyline, along with the hotel’s modern design, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and cleanliness. The breakfast had plenty of fresh choices and made a great start to each day. Hotel Barcelona Princess is well placed for the beach, public transport, and the city’s convention center, so it’s convenient for exploring. Staff were consistently welcoming and professional. After sightseeing, the rooftop pool and terrace were a lovely place to unwind. We’d gladly return and recommend it for a stylish stay with beautiful sea views, comfortable rooms, and easy access to city attractions, whether visiting for business or leisure.

We didn’t use the pools, though we did take a look at the rooftop one. It looked clean, and the view from up there was stunning. Our own view was breathtaking too, even from the 22nd floor, which was a bit nerve-racking since I’m afraid of heights. The room was clean, and the fridge came stocked with complimentary items that housekeeping replenished. We had a small air conditioning leak and the safe battery ran out, but both were fixed without any fuss. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, with a shopping centre seconds from the hotel and plenty of little shops nearby for snacks. It’s around 25-30 minutes from the busy city centre. The Sightseeing Bus was a great way to see Barcelona. I’d happily recommend staying here to friends and family.
