Bed & Bike Hostel Barcelona

The girl was really nice and helpful, and everything else was okay. My issue is the extra charges. Why isn't the tax included in the online price, so we know the final amount when booking? I don't know if that's how it is everywhere in Barcelona or just at this hostel. Towels, locks, and luggage storage all cost extra, and I don't know what else does. Once I add these expenses up, I might find somewhere cheaper, perhaps with my own room instead of sharing. When I book a place, I don't like having to pay again when I arrive. They could include all the costs in the original price so we pay once, or choose not to book because it's too expensive.

Bed & Bike was a dream hostel for the price. It's right by a metro stop, with great cafes and restaurants just a step away. The place was extremely clean and well kept, and the staff were lovely and supportive. The travelers were a diverse bunch, with different ages, races, ethnicities, and languages. As a woman traveling solo, I also felt very safe. Green flags all around. I'd absolutely stay here again, and again.

The bathroom is thoughtfully designed, though it can feel cramped in the morning. The bed has curtains, but having to make it yourself after a long day of travel wasn't ideal. Towels and locks cost extra. There's a family dinner for £3, which I didn't try, and they also rent bikes. It's pretty close to bus stations, a 10min walk from Barcelona north for buses to other cities, and 7-15min on foot from various metro stations.

My friend and I had a GREAT stay at the Bed and Bike hostel in Barcelona. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and check-in and check-out went seamlessly. It's central to so much, and the rooms and amenities are really nice. I especially appreciated the staff helping guests call taxis and answering all our questions. I'd definitely stay here again.
