The loft comfortably slept four, and everything in the room worked as it should. The place was very clean, though a little tricky to find. The rooftop area wasn’t anything special, but the front desk was very helpful. Fantastic location, and I’d highly recommend it.

The front desk staff were attentive and helpful, but the unit itself was uncomfortable and didn’t feel worth the price. Our two-bedroom, two-bath suite had a living room and kitchenette, but the bedrooms had no doors, so you could see into one room from the opening of the other. The place felt dated and needed upgrades. The beds, sofa, and chairs were all uncomfortable. Several outlets didn’t work, there was only one TV, in one bedroom, and none in the living room. We were given hardly any towels, and one bathroom’s shower barely had warm water.

The staff greeted us with a smile every day, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy, housekeeping was perfect, and we loved the room. Some people say this spot in the middle of a lively neighborhood is noisy at night, but we didn’t find it that way. We stayed up late anyway and slept very well. Mercer House Boria is really convenient for walking around and exploring nearby. Metro and buses were easy to reach, and we used them too. We had a great stay and would love to return on our next trip.

We spent three nights at Mercer House with a baby. It was mostly pleasant, but I’m not sure we’d come back. The location works really well if you plan to explore the Gothic Quarter on foot, and the front desk deserves a lot of credit. As others have said, they’re lovely and helpful around the clock. Getting here by cab or Uber was extremely difficult and slow, especially at busy times. We had a lot of luggage for a wedding, and it was a real problem. The room was more cramped and in worse shape than the photos led us to expect. There were random steps up to the bathroom that felt hazardous at night, and the elevator was small enough that we had to make several trips every time we went up or down. Breakfast was also very limited, with only the bare necessities and little warm food. If you get a good deal, it may be worth a look, but at the usual prices it’s hard to justify returning.
