We loved the terrace, the yoga mat and outdoor stretching area, the really comfy bed, and the well-stocked mini bar. It’s a romantic, eclectic place with such thoughtful decor, right in Barcelona. Sagrada Familia was a perfect 20-minute walk away for us. 💓

The hotel is a few minutes’ walk from the metro, shops, and hotels, and it’s close to Casa Batlo. Getting to Sagrada Familia, La Rambla, and other sights is easy from here. The room has a large range of snacks and wine, but no tea, coffee, or milk unless you ask reception. We only learned they were available at checkout. There were no tissue boxes either. The windows look onto the doors of rooms across the corridor, with no daytime curtains for privacy, and there’s no street view or sense of what’s going on outside. The bathroom has no door, so it’s really only suitable for a single person or a couple. That’s why I gave the room three stars.

This is my favorite Barcelona hotel. I feel welcome and well looked after whenever I stay. It’s central but not too crowded, and close to a metro station. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully put together. Downstairs, the hotel bar serves as a nice free breakfast area in the morning, a place to study or work in the afternoon, and a bar in the evening.

This was our second stay, and I’m glad we chose it again. The place feels warm and artistic, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. There’s a coffee shop, restaurant, and bar, plus bikes you can ride around Barcelona.

Casa Bonay’s bar had a nice atmosphere and the cocktails were tasty. We also went to Terma spa, which was peaceful. I especially loved the authentic Finnish sauna at 90C, and the ice bath was a big plus.
