The bed was comfortable, and the hospitality was great, so that’s where the two stars come from. The rest was pretty bad. We did have a private bathroom, as advertised, but it was outside the room, so getting to it meant walking past reception and the shared area. That felt awkward. The walls were very thin too. I was kept awake both nights by people next door talking and watching TV in the early hours. The sound wasn’t muffled at all. I could clearly hear their conversations and what was on TV.

The location made getting around Barcelona easy, with metro connections and bus stops within walking distance. It was great value, with a spacious room, a very comfortable bed, a modern bathroom, and access to a terrace. The host was great too. I’d definitely stay again.

We got the quiet upstairs en suite rooms for two adults and two kids, and it was heaven. There was no air conditioning, but we didn’t need it. Excellent service. We’ll come back next time!

If I come back to Barcelona, I’d happily stay here again. The host was incredibly helpful and did far more than she had to, which made for a wonderful stay.

It was a small room, but neat, and having a little sitting area was a nice touch. We found it just right.
