Chic & Cheap

I don’t usually leave reviews unless something disappoints me and I want to warn people, or, like this time, I’ve had a really good experience. This was one of those times. The apartment is roughly 70-80 square meters, with plenty of room, comfortable furnishings, and lovely decor. There are two bedrooms off the living room, though the doors blend into the walls because they’re painted the same color. There’s also another room with a big wardrobe that works as a dressing room. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the apartment has air conditioning. We only noticed later in the evening that there was no TV. That was a deliberate choice by the owner/manager, and I think it was a smart one. There’s a Bluetooth speaker instead, with fantastic sound, which was great to have on while we talked with family and friends in the living room. Nacho had also stocked the fridge with soft drinks, beer, and juice, and left us snacks and coffee. Those thoughtful extras are unusual in tourist apartments or hotels, and we really appreciated them. It’s right by the metro, about 20 minutes from the city center, with all kinds of services nearby. More than anything, though, we enjoyed dealing with Nacho. He gave us loads of information, helped with our luggage, and was even going to come with me to the parking garage. He handed us detailed notes about shops, restaurants, doctors, and other useful things, then sent me a WhatsApp with his picks for the best restaurants so we could head straight to one. Two days later he called to see if everything was going well. He let us pay by card, and he’s polite and cultured, with the kind of easy manner that makes you enjoy a conversation. I may have missed something, but one last thing: if the place doesn’t suit you because of the location or for some other reason, he has other apartments closer to the center. The price is very reasonable, especially for Barcelona. Just look at the reviews on any of the platforms where he advertises. It’s 100% worth it, and next time I’m back I’ll call Nacho directly.
