Hotel Acta BCN 40

The rooms are cleaned daily and are very clean. The bed is comfortable, and the pillows are good, not too thick. I also found the desk handy for working, with enough space for papers, and the Wi-Fi was good. It’s in a convenient part of town, not far from Plaza de Cataluña, in a very diverse neighbourhood. There are plenty of convenience stores on the same street. I like this hotel.

The front desk staff were friendly and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Most of our stay was very comfortable. On our final day, though, the used towels had been put back on the shelf, and a slightly damp bath mat was placed on top of a bath towel. That was a little disappointing.

We were very comfortable in the balcony room for two nights. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the AC, shower and toiletries were all great. There were plenty of EU power sockets, international news channels and a strong shower. They also gave us water on arrival. Staff were professional, polite and helpful, and the location is excellent, with bars, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Some reviews mention nighttime noise, but closing the window or balcony door and using the AC made the room silent for us. We didn’t use the locker and shower service after checkout, but staff told us about it. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. It seemed to me to be a higher standard than its listing suggests.

The rooms were a little small, but the service was lovely, especially the man at reception. :))
