Circa 1905 Boutique B B

The room was very nice, and the location was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy, with wonderful breakfast options. You can tell they really care about the hotel and their guests.

The hosts were helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were delicious, and the rooms were comfortable. We had a great location, and the balcony doors shut out the sound. This was the quietest room we've found since leaving home in remote Utah a month ago!

The managers, theodora, alex and bibi, were wonderful, and the service was great. Rooms were kept clean, and the breakfast was delicious and generous. It's a great hotel in a perfect city location. Our balcony had a lively view day and night, with two chairs where we could sit and relax. Thank you guys for your hospitality.

We checked in late and stayed the first night before asking politely for another room. The owner refused. We then asked to cancel the remaining two nights and get a refund, but that was refused too. The owner said he could list the room and refund us only if someone booked it. We checked out that morning anyway and moved to a much nicer hotel nearby for the same price, then informed booking.com. That evening we saw the room still hadn't been listed and reminded the owner about the refund. He declined again. We felt this was an unethical way to handle it. The room we were given was shabby, overpriced, and had little privacy, even if the property may have nicer rooms. We were not allowed to change rooms or cancel with a refund. The owner's response below sounds polished, but it doesn't match what happened. There are plenty of great options in the neighborhood. Stay away.
