Cosmo Apartments Marina – Auditori

Having to collect the keys in one place when the apartment is somewhere else is so unusual, especially when you’re exhausted from the journey and have kids and luggage with you!

The reception is 40 minutes from the apartments, and you have to go there for the keys to get into your own room. Staff were rude, charged us too much, and refused to refund us. They called it a free upgrade to a two bedroom apartment, but it had no cutlery, bowls, kettle, or glasses. The heater didn’t work, and the hot water ran out within minutes of each shower. The bed had only large flat sheets folded underneath, with no proper sheets or blankets. Internet worked only about half the time, and there was no working TV or access to music.

As a neighbor, this is incredibly frustrating. Our building is right next door, so we hear the horrible music, conversations, screaming, everything. New people arrive every night with no sense of respect, and then they wonder why people in BCN don’t like these kinds of tourists. Guests scream at all hours, day and night. I’ve called the police several times, and eventually some tourists got a 600euros fine :D. I call the police whenever people are loud. Hopefully you’ll all get fined :) It’s the same every summer. DONT stay here.

The rooms were excellent, the location was good, and the staff treated us well. Still, there was more drama than we expected. The main problems were the large deposit at check-in and having to collect the keys elsewhere. Neither was mentioned in the main description. The deposit was only listed on a side tab, so they should be more upfront and let guests decide with that information.
