Diagonal Apartments

The rooftop had a lovely view, though the elevator up there has definitely seen better days. The hotel itself felt a little dated. We stayed in 2019 for my friend's birthday, and while our room was clean and cozy, its window faced a huge brick wall with no view outside. It made the room feel like a prison, and not being able to see the outside world was really uncomfortable on holiday.

Everything we needed was in this great little apartment, which made our time in Barcelona easy. The shower was the best I've EVER had, and I've stayed in plenty of places and used plenty of showers! There was even an Italian coffee press. I'd definitely stay here again. 😊

We came here for work, and getting through the remaining days somehow became the goal. Every night and early morning was awful. People partying in the apartments above and below us shouted around, slammed doors, and hit the walls. I tried talking to them, but it changed nothing. The walls are so thin that sleeping normally is impossible. Cigarette ash kept falling onto our balcony from above, too. I called the owner: the first time, she said she'd talk to them, but the party went on; the second time, I couldn't reach her. It was really hard to live with all this.

We got good value for little money, and the location worked really well for us. It was a spacious place, though a bit old and cold at night. You had to hold the shower with one hand. The receptionist spoke perfect English, and the elevator worked.
