Fontanella Green House

The rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. You can walk to the subway, old town, restaurants, and attractions.

The location was fantastic, and my street-facing room had a great view. The room and main office were fine, though the hotel only occupies part of the building and the elevator was clunky. For the price, I expected more, but the worst part was checking out. The worker ignored me, then asked what I was there for. When I said checkout, he asked if I could read and pointed to the sign saying checkout was at 11. I said I hadn’t known, and he looked away and told me to leave. I was only 15 minutes late, no one had called, and housekeeping hadn’t started, but I felt completely embarrassed and berated. Even if they needed the room quickly, that attitude was unnecessary and put me off. The front desk could use customer service training.

Affordable and well located, this little place works for a couple of nights. Just know that noise carries, and sleeping in probably isn’t an option.

The balcony view was breathtaking, and inside the room was clean and modern. Getting there feels like stepping into a museum, with a huge entrance door, marble stairs, and an intimidatingly old elevator. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay.
