The rooftop is a real highlight: you can dip your feet in the shallow 45 cm pool while looking toward the ocean and a master architect's work, and the west-facing view is lovely too. Down on the third floor, our room looked out over the street and Palu Guell. The hotel is easy to find and handy for public transport, though the elevators are small and slow. Service was quick and helpful. Our room was small but manageable, the bathroom was fine, and the shower had good pressure and easy temperature controls, though the floor was a little slippery. The pillows and bed were only about a 3 out of 5 for comfort. Breakfast had plenty of food but wasn't especially tasty, so we ate out. The water tasted quite bad, as it does around Barcelona unless specially treated. There was also a faint damp, sour smell in the lobby. Still, it's a solid hotel in a great spot with good service.

Alessandra at reception was a real bright spot. She was so kind and friendly, always ready to help, and her positive attitude made a difference. Thank you, Alessandra! We spent four nights here. The location is great and the rooms were clean, though quite small. Our air conditioning was broken from day one and never got fixed. There was also a lot of street noise, and sound travelled easily both from outside and between rooms.

The rooftop terrace looking over a Gaudi masterpiece is a lovely extra, and guests can help themselves to iceQ and filtered water. Breakfast was good, with a range of fresh fruit juices. The staff were superb. I came back from four nights at The Gaudi hotel with a friend and understand why the reviews I read before booking were so positive. Don't let the 3-star rating put you off, it's far better than that. I'd strongly recommend it.

Nini and Augustin were especially accommodating. One busy night, after the shops had stopped selling alcohol, Nini went out of her way to make us cocktails, and they were really good. She did a fantastic job. The hotel itself was very nice, clean and spacious, and the rooftop is the star. It's right in front of Palau Guell, with convenient transport and easy access to places around the city. Very impressed with the staff and the hotel.

The rooftop terrace was a great place to unwind after a long day out, with views across Barcelona. We only noticed the bar on our last day, but the food seemed reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good and had solid vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the public areas have a nice Gaudi-inspired look. The hotel is in a great spot just off La Rambla and close to Liceu metro station. Our room was small but did the job. It would've been useful to have drawers instead of just wardrobe space. The temperature was tricky at first, very hot one night and cold the next, but we got it sorted. We'd recommend staying here and would definitely return.
