GG Hostel

The location was ideal, with public transport easy to reach on foot. The staff were friendly and helped with my bags both at check-in and checkout. The shared bathroom was clean, with the shower and toilet separated. My room smelled nice, and the beds were comfortable, with curtains for privacy. There was a large locker beside the bed that fit all my things; bring your own lock or the hostel can lend one. It was generally quiet because people were considerate, though you might hear some noise. Breakfast was simple and included, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and the common areas were clean. I'd love to stay there again :)

After five nights, I can say it wasn't as bad as I expected. The noise depends on who's staying there, and it's not parties, just doors closing or water running. The hostel itself left a pleasant impression, but this setup isn't for everyone. If you need rest, privacy, or basic consideration for your sleep, you have to be prepared for what hostel life is like. The place was relatively clean, with drinking water, a healthy breakfast, coffee, and good employees. But there was no blanket, only an unwashed throw with someone else's hair on it. The noise was exhausting for me. I'm a deep sleeper and usually don't wake when my partner gets up, but here I woke ten times in an hour and a half. Earplugs wouldn't help with that level of noise. People don't seem to respect others. I don't understand why someone coming in after 10 PM can't shower in the morning when everyone is awake.

The rooms and beds were lovely, with comfy, cozy mattresses and a nice privacy curtain. It felt more like staying in a capsule hotel than a hostel. The bathrooms and showers were spotless, which is rare in a hostel, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The place is quite small and new, but it already makes a great impression. Loved it and would definitely come back!

We noticed a faint chemical smell as soon as we arrived. We were told the hostel had recently had a "minor bed bug infestation" but that pest control had done a good job and things were fine now. Needless to say, we left straight away. We didn't want to end up like that German family at a hotel in Istanbul last month.
