Grandom Suites

We felt safe and comfortable, and the price was good. Our group of four kids and two adults fit comfortably in the clean, roomy accommodation, just minutes from La Rambla and other places. Staff were amazing, especially the woman who helped us buy tickets for all our attractions and gave us lots of recommendations. We’d highly recommend this location for families. The cleaning lady even took our clothes out of the washer and hung them up to dry when we asked. The water stayed hot even after the fifth shower, which was amazing.

Parking came with the stay, though it wasn’t very convenient, three blocks away. Reception staff were always nice and responsive, and several supermarkets and restaurants were nearby. We stayed almost a month at Grandom, right by the heart of Barcelona, in a small two-bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchenette and washing machine. The place was very clean every day except Sunday, the bed was large, and the kitchen had plenty of plates, glasses, knives, pots, and everything we needed. They even brought fresh flowers on some days. There were more positives than negatives, and overall it was a great stay that I strongly recommend. The downsides were a pretty bad smell, especially in the bathroom, which I assume came from the canal even though we were on the fourth floor, an old couch in the living room, and quite a lot of noise. Ask for an upper floor.

They let us leave our luggage when we arrived before check-in, and suggested places to see and somewhere to eat. There was a nearby bakery with very reasonable prices for a quick bite. The hotel staff were kind and helpful, the room was very clean, and Las Ramblas was within walking distance.

A clean, comfortable, spacious apartment with two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and a full kitchen. There was free Nespresso each morning. The downside is that, as in European cities generally, the hot water doesn’t last and takes at least six hours to refill fully.
