Green House Hotel

We were traveling with our two children and ended up in a windowless room with a broken air conditioner. It smelled strongly of mold, which felt like a serious health concern. When I asked to switch rooms, the staff said we'd have to pay for a second room to get one that worked. They showed no concern for my children's well-being and were very unhelpful. The booking was at Green House, and I strongly advise against staying there. Save your money and health, and avoid this place.

I particularly loved the mattress. It was comfortable, which isn't something you find often in Europe. The rooms are modest, practical and laid out well, with everything you need. The hotel itself is bright and very clean, mixing an industrial, modern look with a classic touch. The owner is a very nice Egyptian gentleman who works exceptionally hard and makes you feel welcome. It's in a quiet neighborhood to the east, with a few local bars and small supermarkets. The one thing I'd change is the light coming into the room. The attached photo was taken around 11pm. I'd stay again.

I walked about 8 minutes to get here from the BlaBla bus station. The hotel is quiet, and the bed was good. The bathroom only had soap, shampoo and paper, though. On November 14,2025, the weather was foggy and rainy, which made getting around a little difficult. People in the area were still going about their usual activities despite the weather.

The stay was pleasant apart from a few things. The beds weren't very comfortable, and we had to ask for toilet tissue after having none for 2 days. The room also didn't get fully dark: a window beside the bed looked onto the outside corridor, and the light came on whenever someone entered. Still, it's a clean, modern place in a good location.
