H10 Montcada Boutique Hotel

The room was really tiny, almost NYC tiny, and they seem to assign lower floors, so ask for a higher floor or a larger room. Still, it’s a cool place and I’d come back. The location is amazing, the hotel was pretty clean, the rooftop was nice, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

The rooftop bar was a highlight, with a great view across Barcelona and a nice place to sit with a cocktail or beer. Staff were consistently friendly, smiling and happy to answer questions. There are lots of restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel, and the metro is only a one-minute walk away, so getting around was easy. I’ve been impressed with H10’s standards before, and this stay lived up to that. I’d happily recommend it.

The beds were super comfortable, and the shower had good pressure and temperature. Rooms felt cozy, and there were plenty of toiletries. My mother has mobility issues, but she was able to enjoy the hotel. Wheelchair users should know the rooftop lounge isn’t accessible, since there’s a flight of stairs after the elevator’s top floor. It’s a handy base for Barcelona’s food and sights, with a metro station right outside and lots of great places to eat nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooftop view is stunning. The downside was the noise: I could hear every detailed conversation from chatty people in the hallway. I enjoyed my stay and will return when I’m back in Barcelona. Cheers!

The rooms, location, and most of our interactions with staff were good. Bar staff and reception were consistently nice, and H10 hotels usually make us feel looked after. That’s why I’m giving four stars rather than three, even though parts of this stay were disappointing. We stayed 09/02/26 - 12/02/26. We’d booked a basic room, then paid to upgrade to a top-floor room with a cathedral view. Nobody mentioned refurbishment when we booked. Staff later explained that they hadn’t known about it then either. On arrival we found the rooftop bar shut for renovations. We hadn’t been told at booking or check-in, though we later noticed a front-desk notice. In early February that wasn’t a major problem for us. The louder issue came on our first day. We’d been traveling since 3am and hoped to sleep in the afternoon, but renovation noise was so loud the room vibrated and we couldn’t rest. When we raised it, the first response felt a bit dismissive and short on apology. We learned work would run every day that week from 10:00 - 18:00. The following day reception offered us a corner room on a lower floor, which we appreciated. We chose to stay in our original room for the better view, since we expected to be out most afternoons. The disruption and initial response were disappointing, though I’d still recommend the hotel for its good staff and other positives.
