Hotel Arts Barcelona

The location is easy to get around on foot. The Gothic Quarter and el born are a bit farther, but still an easy walk or cab ride. Breakfast was great, especially the buffet’s fresh juice bar, and the restaurants were good too. From check-in, the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and even with renovations underway, you wouldn’t know it.

The staff alone deserve five stars: warm, professional, and attentive without hovering. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and well appointed, though the view looked onto construction scaffolding, which was disappointing for that room category. The public areas were a real letdown. The lobby and hall to the elevators had faded carpet, scratches, and obvious wall damage. For a hotel in this price range carrying the Ritz-Carlton name, that level of wear is shocking and should be addressed with a thoughtful renovation. Port Olímpic also caught us off guard. Beyond the hotel grounds, the area felt strangely deserted, quiet by day and eerily empty at night. Anyone expecting a lively marina atmosphere should adjust their expectations. The staff are excellent, but the condition of the property doesn’t match its price tag or the standard its name suggests.

I felt safe and at ease throughout my stay at Hotel Arts Barcelona. It has a calm atmosphere, without crowds from outside, and the location by the sea is excellent. It’s a lovely spot for a run or a walk along the waterfront. The staff were pleasant, friendly, and always ready to help. I’d highly recommend it for a relaxing and comfortable visit. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

On my birthday, the 28th of March, a room service order arrived with an amazing chocolate cake, a bottle of Cava, and a lovely handwritten card. That thoughtful surprise really topped off our stay. We were there for my birthday celebrations after getting off a cruise. From arrival through checkout, the staff handled everything seamlessly and were professional, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, though we couldn’t do it justice after all the food on the cruise 🤣. We’d like to make this hotel one of our regular bases in Barcelona and would gladly recommend it.
