The location seems to be the only good thing here. The manager was awful to deal with, and I’ve never been treated so rudely at a hotel. Breakfast had run out when we arrived, and no one refilled the food. The soundproofing was terrible too. I couldn’t fall asleep because I could hear my neighbor turning over and snoring. Don’t pick this place just to save a few bucks.

We left and paid for another hotel for the rest of our stay after the room proved impossible to sleep in. It was stuffy and warm because the AC wasn’t on yet, and we were told it wasn’t available at that time of year. The walls were very thin, with people coming and going in the hallway all night. Parking was nonexistent if you have a car, and there was mold in the shower. We had booked through Expedia, but the online pictures looked nothing like the place in person. We asked about a refund when we left. The front desk said the manager had already agreed to approve it once Expedia sent the request, and said it would be handled the next business day. The following day Expedia told us the refund request had been denied.

The beds squeaked whenever I moved, and there was a huge amount of dust under them, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The shower head was broken, sending water out in two places and splashing everywhere. The staff could have been nicer too. They came across like schoolteachers, and the sarcasm didn’t work for customer service. I gave it 3 stars for the great location and how easy it was to get around the city on foot or by transport. For what they charge per night, I’d expect more effort put into improving the service. They’re doing the bare minimum.

Danny is a very rude, cynical old man. I’m traveling alone to visit family who live in Barcelona, and I wasn’t bringing a random guy to my room. It was my two little nieces and their mother, whom I’d flown 14 hours to see. Earlier in the trip, staff had been fine with them coming up briefly to pick me up or change clothes, with no overnight or long stays. Then, abruptly in the middle of my stay, he refused to let them upstairs. I explained they’d been allowed before and that they’d only be there for up to 30 minutes, but he just said “rules are rules.” He called the owner, if that really was the owner, and got the same answer. I’d already let it go that my room hadn’t been cleaned properly, with only fresh towels thrown on the bed. I even offered to add them to my room, but he rudely told me I’d need to get another room to add three people. Don’t come here. Book anywhere else.
