Lamaro Hotel

The hotel looks beautiful, with premium finishes in the lobby, restaurant, and rooms. The rooftop bar is lovely, and it's in a prime location, though the area around it is exceptionally busy. Delivery trucks parked right outside our room woke us repeatedly through the night on several nights. Staff moved us after the first night, but the second room was just as noisy. This was the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in, and the noise wasn't other guests in the hallway, which would be normal and expected. There are better-value hotels just a few minutes' walk away. We paid top dollar and feel we overpaid.

The location was perfect for enjoying Barcelona, and the hotel had a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere. Our elegant room had a breathtaking view, and every detail felt considered. The place is beautiful, stylish, and comfortable. The staff were professional, warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We felt cared for from the start. Thank you for making the stay so memorable. We'd gladly return and recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

We stayed here for three days in April, and the hotel has a great location and looks very nice. But beware: the advertised rooms and views don't reflect what many guests may get. Several rooms are much smaller than they appear on the booking page, and some have terrible views. Our first room had a small frosted window facing a maintenance area. We asked to move and got another interior-facing room about the size of a closet. After talking with other guests who'd had a similar experience, we asked again the next day. The only available option was an “upgraded” room. The attached photo shows the poor view, alongside the advertised room class and what we received. They charged us 100 Euros for the upgrade. I asked them to waive the fee for customer satisfaction, but they refused. We were told nobody, even the hotel manager, had authority to waive it. You might get a beautiful room with a great view of the square and cathedral, but it's a gamble. Five-star prices, with service nowhere near five-star.

The balcony view from our Premium suite was breathtaking, and the hotel was clean and tidy throughout. Everyone greeted us warmly whenever we came and went. Since they knew it was our wedding anniversary, the hotel left a lovely note and a special surprise in the room. Finding it as we arrived made the stay unforgettable. I loved everything about our time there and am so grateful for the experience. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.
